What is RaiseRight?

Gift card fundraising, also known as scrip fundraising, has been the #1 fundraiser for nonprofit organizations across the U.S. for more than 25 years.

Why? Because it’s easy and more convenient than selling goods or recruiting volunteers. Earn simply by buying gift cards to use for everyday purchases, instead of cash or credit cards.

When you purchase, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can purchase cards for everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our organization.

How does the program generate revenue for the school?

The program acts on behalf of churches, schools and other nonprofit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. St. Thomas buys the cards from the program at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families like yours for full face value. The discount from two to fifteen percent or more – is our organization’s revenue.

Scrip is “shopping cart fundraising”

Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don’t have to sell anything. Organization members produce revenue by making regular household purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip.

Ordering is EASY

It’s SO EASY to order SCRIP.
1. Click on Order Form button above, print and fill out your form.
2. Send the form to school with your child each Monday morning. OR –
3. Order after school on Fridays inside the East School Doors. OR –
4. Order before or after weekend mass.
Please note that we keep MANY frequently ordered SCRIP merchants on hand so you can pick up your SCRIP in many cases when placing your order!

Order Schedule

Monday – Return your completed SCRIP order form along with your check to school. You can send it to school with your child or drop it off at the school office.
Orders are due by Monday 9:00 a.m.

Friday – Your SCRIP order will be ready. You can have it sent home with your child, pick it up after school, or after Mass.

Go use your SCRIP – Using SCRIP is just like using a gift certificate. There is no extra cost to you and our school receives the benefit!
